Position: Revenue Accounting Supervisor

Position Overview
Our client, a prominent company in the property management sector, is looking for a detail-oriented Revenue Accounting Supervisor to join their team! In this role, you will support the Divisional Controller by overseeing revenue accounting for a residential real estate portfolio. This role ensures accurate recording of tenant revenue, deposits, and cash activity in line with internal controls, accounting standards, and legislation, while leading the revenue accounting team and collaborating closely with operations and property accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily cash activity, bank transfers, and reconciliations across multiple properties
- Investigate and resolve deposit discrepancies and banking issues
- Monitor rent collections (cheques, electronic payments, wires) and ensure accurate processing
- Manage PAD setup, reconciliation, cancellations, and issue resolution
- Ensure accurate posting of tenant charges, payments, credits, and prepayments
- Follow up on NSF, rejected payments, and required banking documentation
- Oversee deposit accounting for move-outs, including refunds and interest calculations in line with provincial timelines
- Review third-party payment platform activity and resolve discrepancies
- Post adjustments and investigate variances related to rent rolls, deposits, and general ledger accounts
- Maintain general ledger accuracy through reconciliations and corrective entries
- Manage team workflows, priorities, and coverage for absences
- Provide guidance on complex reconciliations and issue resolution
- Support system enhancements, maintain procedures, and train team members
- Assist with audits, reporting improvements, and special projects
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma in Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in residential real estate or property management
- 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Experience with Yardi Voyager is an asset
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
